Exciting news for AECB members Progress in Practice, who have been shortlisted for the Architect’s Journal Retrofit & Reuse Awards on the 11 September

We caught up with Hannah Dixon, who told us “We’re really honoured that the AJ Retrofit & Reuse Awards have recognised this small, but mighty project. It is one of Greater Manchester’s first Certified AECB Retrofits and uses the rigorous Passivhaus methodology to achieve a dramatic energy transformation. Not only that but the former dreary 1980s bungalow has a new lease of life, with bright colours and natural materials, creating a warm and extremely accessible home for future generations. The rest of the projects on the shortlist are beautiful, so we are thrilled to be in such good company and are excited for a trip to London for the awards evening!”

Hannah’s enthusiasm for their retrofit projects is infectious, and we are looking forward to welcoming her to the upcoming Annual Conference, where Hannah will be presenting a workshop around her role as an AECB Certifier.

All the best to Progress in Practice for next week!
